Huddle – Support
Bluetooth voice chat, no internet required.
Frequently Asked Questions
How does Huddle work?
Huddle uses Bluetooth to create a direct voice connection between two iPhones. No internet, no WiFi network, and no accounts needed. Just open the app on both devices and they’ll find each other automatically.
Do I need an internet connection?
No. Huddle works completely offline. It even works in Airplane Mode – just turn WiFi radio back on (you don’t need to connect to a network).
Why do I need WiFi turned on if there’s no internet?
iOS uses the WiFi radio (not a WiFi network) for Bluetooth device discovery. Think of it as the antenna – it needs to be on for devices to find each other, but no internet connection is used.
What is the range?
Huddle works within Bluetooth range, typically up to 30 meters (100 feet) in open spaces. Walls and obstacles may reduce the range.
Can more than two people use Huddle?
Currently Huddle supports 1-to-1 voice chat. Group support for 3+ users is coming in a future update.
Is my conversation private?
Yes. Your voice travels directly between devices via Bluetooth. Nothing is sent to any server. We don’t collect, store, or have access to your conversations.
How do I record a conversation?
During an active voice chat, tap the record button. Both sides of the conversation will be captured. Recordings are saved locally on your device and are never uploaded.
What is Wind Guard?
Wind Guard is Huddle’s built-in noise suppression feature that reduces wind and background noise, making outdoor conversations clearer.
The app can’t find other devices. What should I do?
Make sure both devices have Bluetooth ON and WiFi radio ON. You don’t need to be connected to a WiFi network – just have the radio enabled. Restart the app if needed.
